Life is Long. You Have Time.

Why are you always so focused on where you’re not instead of focusing on the step you’re on?

I feel like in the culture I’m a part of, is always go go go.

You gotta get to the next thing, succeed in something else, always be reaching for that next “something” to obtain. Always be completing your goals. But what if you’re goals are vague?

Like mine.

I just wanna live slowly, quietly, peacefully.

As you get older you start to realize more and more what’s important to you. Do you really wanna rush through life all the time? Looking for the great and mystical “tomorrow” that is never guaranteed and only really exists in your mind?

“I’ll be happy when I ____”

“I’ll be successful when I _____”

“I’ll rest when I _____”

You can rest now.

I don’t think people really think about how long life really is. You are most likely going to live well into your 80s. You have time.

Take things slow. You’ll get there faster.
